IBM MQ on AWS Cloud Developer Essentials

The badge earner knows the benefits of deploying IBM MQ solutions on AWS cloud. They demonstrate the skills that are required to deploy a developer queue manager by using docker compose, and they know about the AWS services that are used. This individual can deploy an interactive sample application on AWS to showcase messaging concepts, and can develop extensions with Node.JS. IBM MQ Developer Essentials

The badge earner demonstrates an understanding of fundamental IBM MQ messaging concepts, can create and configure a queue manager, and has a working understanding of MQ objects such as channels, queues, and topics. This individual can develop a JMS application to solve a high-level application integration scenario by producing code to connect to IBM MQ and interact with messaging objects. The badge holder is able to troubleshoot and debug simple errors and resolve connectivity issues.

What earning a digital badge represents

A Digital Badge is a cross-industry recognition of technical knowledge and skills, which can be posted to your social and professional networking sites, as well as your digital signature. IBM Automation is supporting this new program, based on the Open Badge Standards, through the creation of a broad range of badged activities covering multiple subject matter.

How do I earn an IBM Automation badge?

In most cases, you will be required to complete a learning activity along with an end-of-course assessment. In some cases, you may be required to complete multiple learning activities and assessments, or submit evidence of your qualification depending upon the badged activity.

 

How do I get my badge?

After you have satisfied the necessary criteria, you will receive an email from Credly ( admin@credly.com ) within three to five business days, which will have instructions for accepting your badge. Click the link in the email to claim your badge. You will be re-directed to Credly, the IBM badge program administration partner. If it is your first time earning an IBM badge, you will be asked to create a profile. You can then add the badge to your profile.

Credly is a third party badge administration partner for IBM that is widely accepted throughout the industry for issuing and managing verified and trusted digital badges. Credly uses your name and email address details (which are provided by IBM) to facilitate the badge issuing transaction process

If you do not wish to claim your badge, simply ignore the email you receive from Credly service.
